Dr. Anissa CHAN

Anissa Chan Wong Lai Kuen was the Principal of St. Paul’s Co-educational College and the Supervisor of St. Paul’s Co-educational College Primary School (2004-2017). Apart from many other public services, Dr. Chan is currently chairman of the Hong Kong Principals’ Institute, member of the Court of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, member of the Sub-committee on Teachers’ Professional Development (SCTPD) under Committee on Professional Development of Teachers and Principals (COTAP), member of the Advisory Committee on Teacher Education of the Faculty of Education, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, member of Presidential Advisory Group, and Council Member and Honorary Fellow of the Education University of Hong Kong, Scholar-Practitioner Fellow of Asia Pacific Centre for Leadership and Change (APCLC) of the Education University of Hong Kong, member of the Board of Governors of Centennial College, member of the ICAC Complaints Committee.

In November 2017 Chan was appointed by the HKSAR to be the Chairman of the Task Force on Review of School Curriculum as part of the Chief Executive’s 2017 Policy Address.

Chan received her Bachelor Degree (First Class Honours) and Postgraduate Diploma in Education in 1980 and 1982 respectively from the University of Hong Kong, Master Degree in Education in 1985 from the Institute of Education, London University and Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Education from Monash University, Australia, in 1993.

Chan had been awarded Sir Robert Trust Fund Scholarship, Australian Postgraduate Research Award and Peter Fensham Scholarship.
